HP Flatkökur - Flat bread (180g)
Icelandic Flatbread or Flatkaka is a traditional Icelandic flatbread. Flatbread used to be made exclusively from rye and water, but nowadays, wheat flour is usually added to the blend.
Flatbreads do not contain any leavening agents; therefore, they are flat and a little bit dense.
How to eat it: The most common way to eat flatbread is to cut it in half, add some butter and a slice of smoked lamb (hangikjöt). You can also try to eat them with butter and cheese, Icelandic paté (kæfa), or smoked salmon.
